Salmon Eye

10Tons was asked to make a unique dining experience in collaboration with Restaurant Iris and Salmon Eye. Our creative collaboration was sparked when they sought our innovative input, prompting us to propose our invisible UV-reflecting embeddings.
Together, we've crafted these artistically impressive plates, mirroring the form of the iconic floating Salmon Eye building. In an exciting twist, a delectable dish is served within the ‘pupil' of the eye. As the dish is presented, the waiter conveys a compelling narrative about sustainability and the importance of choosing seafood such as crabs, kelp, and mussels over meat.
The theatrical highlight? As the story unfolds, the plate is subtly illuminated with UV light from beneath, revealing the invisible depictions of crab, kelp, and mussel in the pristine eye-shaped plate.
This marvel of illumination, a remote-controlled plate, was brought to life by the electrical virtuoso Peer K from Gadget Group adding an extra sprinkle of magic to the dining experience.
