Leather Globe
Leather Globe (ø = 200 cm.)
A globe with elevated relief of Planet Earth was robot milled from styrofoam. Vegetable-tanned leather was glued onto the surface. A steel armature with a brass ruler was made to make it look like a giant version of a tabletop globe. The globe can rotate.
Søren Buus and Ole P helped design the armature and make the project happen. Lærke Michaelsen did the leather-work. Esben Horn did the paint job.
