Leather Nautilus
This massive nautilus was unveiled at Geomuseum Faxe as part of their Danmarks Fossile Koralrev (The Fossilized Coral Reefs of Denmark) exhibition. With a diameter of 2 meters and securely mounted on an elegant steel foundation, this ancient design has been transformed into a remarkably comfortable piece of furniture.
In this series, you can see Laerke Lillelund hard at work on the intricate leatherwork that played a key role in bringing this project to life.
