Proganochelys

Proganochelys, an extinct genus of reptiles from the late Triassic period, represents one of the earliest known turtles. With a robust body and a well-protected shell composed of fused bony plates, Proganochelys played a vital role in the evolutionary history of turtles. Its carapace featured a central ridge, potentially for digging or burrowing. This species likely had herbivorous tendencies, utilizing its long neck to access vegetation. Proganochelys fossils have been found in Europe, contributing valuable insights into the evolution and anatomy of ancient turtles. Our meticulous modeling ensures an accurate representation of Proganochelys in the Sauriermuseum Frick, providing visitors with a fascinating glimpse into this remarkable reptile. (40 cm long).
