Toni

Reconstruction of "Toni," the sole articulated and nearly complete baby sauropod skeleton known to science! This exceptional specimen has been preserved in situ, showcasing the natural alignment of its bones. Currently, it is tentatively classified under the genus Apatosaurus, although a precise species identification remains uncertain.

The coloration and scale patterns are informed by the most recent scientific findings from Dennis Hansen and his colleagues at the Natural History Museum in Zurich.

This discovery dates back to the Late Jurassic period, approximately 145 million years ago, and was unearthed in the Morrison Formation, located in Big Horn County, Wyoming, USA.

Made for Natural History Museum in Zürich.
