We Walked the Earth

We Walked the Earth by Uffe Isolottofor for the Danish pavilion at the 59th international art exhibition, Biennale di Venezia 2022.

We Walked the Earth depicts a fascinating and uncanny transhuman world inhabited by centaurs. 

10 TONS  were responsible for the animal parts of the centaurs. Bringing these hyperrealistic creatures to life has been a tour de force combining many different disciplines within the different fields: Digital sculpting, modelling, casting, 3D-printing, taxidermy, hair-work, textile design, etc.

We Walked the Earth: Harnessing was developed in close collaboration with curator and author Jacob Lillemose and produced in collaboration with 10 Tons, Fyns Naturværksted, Thomas Foldberg Studio, Anne Sofie Madsen, Maria Koshenkova, Ida Hy, Christine Bechameil, Marie Søegaard Tarpø and Line-Gry Hørup.
