Coral polyp

Coral polyp made for Yadegar Asisi Panoramas. The Coral polyp is on display at the Great Barrier Reef panorama in Panometer Leipzig.

The model shows zooxanthellaes in the polyp. We removed the outer layer of the crystal clear model and painted the algae. Then we put the painted core back into the mould again and cast the outer layer of crystal clear resin to have the coloration beneath the surface.
